As the school year ends on Friday the 22nd, our year 6 children will leave us to continue their education at secondary schools. For some of our parents this will be their last farewell assembly as it will be their youngest child who will leave. Thanks for their continued support for our school and their help with all of the activities over the years.
Our new head teacher, Mr. Neil Clarke has already visited the school and met with staff and some of our children. He has already met with some of our parents as they collected their children at the end of the school day.
In the summer term, the year 6 children spent time at the Robinwood Outdoor Centre near Alston in Cumbria and had a great time. Thanks to Mrs. Atkinson who made it possible by volunteering to go with them.
Our girls football team represented Hambleton Schools at the North Yorkshire School games and as the smallest school in the competition did themselves credit.
The whole school spent a day at the Forest School. Our thanks go to Tony and Linda Elsdon for allowing us to use their wood throughout the year. All of the children walked from school, across the fields and along the riverside footpath. We were very lucky that the rain held off and the children were able to take part in all of the day’s activities.
