The Friends of St. Mary’s was set up in the summer of 2016 by a small group of enthusiastic and dedicated villagers with the primary purpose of supporting, preserving and promoting St Mary’s church as an historic building in the centre of our village.
We organise and hold social events / talks / concerts etc. that will hopefully be of interest to a wide audience in Appleton Wiske and beyond.
TheMethodist Chapel Praying in Colour will be held on Sunday 2nd July from 10.30am – 11.30am at Appleton Wiske CP School.
We will be using the action of drawing and colouring as a way of becoming still on the inside, and for experiencing and expressing God’s loving presence. All are welcome to attend. Continue reading “Praying in Colour – 2nd July”
